Andy, the Head Hard Hat Featured Speaker At
Owosso, Michigan Red Hat Society Event

(may take a minute to load)

The Head Hard Hat was recently the featured speaker for over 300 Red Hat Society ladies and some of their husbands. He discussed the origins of the Hard Hat Brotherhood, what it is like to be a part of such a fun organization and some interesting insights about the behavior of men.
This guy-like behavior which may be frustrating to Red Hatters and women in general also creates a challenge when recruiting new members for the Hard Hat Brotherhood.

“I have observed a condition with guys that maybe you can relate to”, he told the ladies.

“The condition I speak of is an ever-growing epidemic known as Husband-Couch-Potatoitis."

"Symptoms can include:

  • A general lack of mobility. Easily diagnosed by the large butt prints in a couch cushion or computer chair.
  • Long blank stairs usually in front of a luminary device like a television or computer monitor.
  • Then finally - Selective hearing. For example, a lack of hearing when it comes to taking out the garbage or washing the dishes, but if its "honey want a cold one?" then watch'em move! I know because before the Hard Hat Brotherhood I was one of them. My wife Queen Char practically needed a two by four to get me to move.

Fear not ladies the Hard Hat Brotherhood is here to help. Actually it is you that can help us. If your husband or significant other is hesitant about joining the Hard Hat Brotherhood, go right to the membership area and sign them up yourself! It is the first step to getting them to go out into the real world and actually communicate with other guys. After their initial Crew event they will realize what they have been missing and the butt print in your couch cushion will disappear.”

The Head Hard Hat ended his presentation by giving away two Crew Foreman kits to the audience.

Queen Judy of the RHS Chapter Merry Widows and More was the gracious hostess of this event and and said that the Red Hat ladies will be talking about The Hard Hat Brotherhood for a long time to come.
